Grocery Clerk - Retail

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Grocery Clerk to join our team at Price Chopper. In this role, you'll help maintain well-stocked, organized shelves while also supporting guests on the sales floor-ensuring the store is clean, easy to shop, and delivers a positive, customer-facing experience that drives satisfaction and sales.

• →Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits
• →Stock, rotate, and face products to maintain freshness, minimize waste, and ensure an appealing presentation
• →Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked aisles to enhance the shopping experience and uphold store standards
• →Assist guests with locating products, answering questions, and making recommendations
• →Develop and maintain knowledge of store products, including features, pricing, and location to better support guests and drive sales
• →Unload deliveries, break down shipments, and organize backstock efficiently and safely
• →Monitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to support product availability and reduce shrink
• →Ensure proper product placement, pricing accuracy, and signage execution
• →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to promote health, safety, and a professional appearance
• →Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and sanitation standards
• →Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, scanners, and POS systems as needed
• →Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leadership to support efficient store operations
• →Collaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest hospitality goals
• →Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standards
• →Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper procedures
• →Participate in required trainings and continuous learning to support personal and team development
• →Remain productive during slower periods by cleaning, organizing, restocking, or supporting other departments
• →Other job duties as assigned

• Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred: Experience in grocery, retail, stocking, or warehouse environments
