Associate Data Analyst

The Associate Data Analyst is a member of Banner Engineering's Data Team, supporting the organization's business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise data management initiatives. This role develops analytical solutions that improve decision-making, strengthen data quality, and help ensure business data is accurate, accessible, and trusted across the organization.

The Associate Data Analyst will work on a variety of business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise data management initiatives while partnering with stakeholders throughout the organization to develop meaningful, data-driven solutions.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• →Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence applications and dashboards using Qlik to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• →Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• →Develop and maintain data models, visualizations, and reporting solutions that improve the accessibility and usability of enterprise data.

Enterprise Data Management

• →Develop and enhance automated data quality processes that improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data.
• →Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to implement long-term solutions.
• →Support data governance initiatives through documentation, business glossaries, data definitions, and enterprise data standards.

Enterprise Data Support

• →Support Banner's ePlan data portal, including user support, issue resolution, and ongoing enhancements.
• →Develop SQL queries to support ad hoc reporting, data validation, troubleshooting, and business requests.

Continuous Improvement

• →Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, business processes, and data management practices across the organization.
• →Contribute to a collaborative Data Team environment by sharing knowledge, documenting processes, and supporting team initiatives.

• →This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data quality, data management, or a related field, including relevant internship or co-op experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Basic experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies, understand business processes, explore data, and continuously learn new technologies and analytical techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience developing business intelligence applications or dashboards using Qlik.
• Experience with enterprise data quality or data management concepts.
• Experience working with ERP systems or enterprise business data.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts, business glossaries, or metadata management.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, reliable work.
