- Perform onsite installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of:
- Wireless networking equipment (APs, controllers)
- Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A)
- RFID and IoT solutions (where applicable)
- POS, scanners, printers, and related hardware
- Execute project work including:
- Access point mounting and alignment
- Cable runs, terminations, and testing
- Equipment rack/IDF/MDF setup
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently while onsite
- Ensure all work is completed to professional and safety standards
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation:
- Service reports
- Installation photos
- Test results (Fluke or equivalent where required)
- Communicate effectively with:
- Customers onsite
- Dispatch and project coordination teams
- Manage time, travel, and assigned work orders to meet project timelines
- 2+ years of experience in field service or low-voltage/network installations
- Strong understanding of:
- Structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
- Wireless networking fundamentals
- Experience with:
- Cable termination and testing
- Mounting hardware and cable pathways (J-hooks, conduit, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Floor plans
- Network diagrams
- Valid driver’s license and must have access to vehicle everyday
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts)
- Experience with:
- Cisco Meraki, Extreme, Fortinet, or similar wireless platforms
- RFID or warehouse technologies
- Certifications (nice to have):
- Network+ / CCNA
- Manufacturer certifications (Meraki, Extreme, etc.)
- Lift certification / Working at Heights
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- Field-based role with travel to customer locations
- Work may include:
- Warehouses, retail environments, offices, and industrial sites
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work depending on project requirements
- Competitive compensation of $65,000-70,000 depending on experience
