Are you passionate about creating memorable guest experiences while serving handcrafted cocktails in one of Maine's most iconic waterfront destinations? The Bar Harbor Inn & Spa is seeking an experienced, personable, and professional Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team for the season.

In this full-time seasonal role, you'll split your time between two of the Bar Harbor Inn's premier dining venues—working three days each week in the elegant Reading Room and two days each week at the oceanfront Terrace Grille. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company recipes and service standards.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service in both the Reading Room and Terrace Grille.
  • Engage with guests in a warm, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies.
  • Process guest orders accurately using the POS system and handle payments efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with opening, closing, inventory, stocking, and side work.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all bar and service areas.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy service periods.
  • Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain or maintain any required alcohol service certifications.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to consistently deliver outstanding guest experiences, maintain high beverage quality and service standards, work collaboratively with your team, and contribute to the overall success of both the Reading Room and Terrace Grille.
