We are looking for a motivated consultant passionate about building their career in the energy sector to join our growing advisory team in Sydney or Melbourne. The right person will bring strong analytical skills, curiosity and a practical approach to problem-solving. You will support senior colleagues and clients as they navigate the energy transition, optimise strategies, assess project opportunities and develop new business models in dynamic market environments. Responsibilities
~2 min readYou will be working at the forefront of the energy sector alongside market specialists with deep industry knowledge where you will be able to deploy and then broaden your skill set and expertise.

Led by a Senior Management Team respected as Thought Leaders within the industry, we help our clients shape, define and implement change in energy markets.
Examples of relevant Australian engagements we have worked on in the past year, or are currently working on, include:
- →Defining investment portfolio strategy and offtake options for large-scale renewable and storage projects, from pricing flexible contract structures to assessing the impact of contracting options on gross margins and risk
- →Negotiating offtake agreements through to Term Sheet completion for various greenfield wind, solar and battery agreements, as well as green retail agreements
- →Working with developers of large infrastructure and green fuel projects to commercially-optimise the design, quantify demand for new products and supply chain constraints
- →Developing decarbonisation strategies for large corporate consumers – including renewable energy contracting, carbon offsetting strategies, new technology appraisal and an actionable implementation roadmap
- →Working with energy market bodies on policy and regulatory reforms, including the development of Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and design of long-term contracting tenders
- →Working with market participants to define trading strategy, capabilities and analytical approaches to manage energy market risk
- →Working with market participants and regulators to quantify the value of behind-the-meter generation, and define the products and business models which allow market participants to realise this value
Requirements
~1 min read- 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within a management consultancy or an internal strategy role within the energy sector
- You are passionate about energy and energy decarbonisation!
- You can demonstrate a strong aptitude and appetite for structured problem-solving and analysis, with the ability to explain methods and concepts clearly
- You are comfortable in handling data and numerical analysis
- You are personable and professional, with excellent communication and presentation skills and an effective team player
