CNC Programmer
Quick Summary
Core Responsibilities: Lead turning and milling programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Repair Development Engineers, Process Engineers, and machining leads. Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues on an as needed basis.
Five or more years direct experience in lathe, VTL, 3/4/5 axis milling CNC programming. Experience processing nickel, cobalt, and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead turning and milling programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Repair Development Engineers, Process Engineers, and machining leads.
- →Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues on an as needed basis.
- →Directly support NPI development with new NC programs.
- →Collaborate with Repair Development Engineers and machining leads on fixturing development.
- →Work with Process Engineers with CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations.
- →Work directly with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- Five or more years direct experience in lathe, VTL, 3/4/5 axis milling CNC programming.
- Experience processing nickel, cobalt, and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees.
- Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances.
- Ability to program with CAM (NX preferred) and manually as necessary.
- Familiarity with Repair Technical Data e.g. Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data, etc a plus.
- Must have experience authoring typical shop process planning paperwork e.g. Tool Sheets, Setup Sheets, Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms, etc.
Requirements
