Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Review deviations and apply fundamental engineering principles to solve technical problems in collaboration with operations and engineering team.
- →Interpret repair requirements and implement repair techniques in adherence with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- →Develop new repair techniques to reduce shop floor hours and improve throughput.
- →Support shop with special processes such as: EB Weld, Heat Treatment, Plasma, and Water Jet Strip.
- →Assist in review of work instructions for adherence to regulatory requirements.
- →Participate in Root Cause Corrective action process to investigate internal and external warranties.
- →Mentor/Train shop floor personnel on process standards and repair techniques.
- →Participate in cross-functional teams on process control, improvement, and optimization projects; participate in other BES activities (i.e. Kaizen, Baseline, Production, and Preparation Process (3P).
Requirements
~1 min read- One to three years of related experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in an overhaul and repair operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees, suppliers and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work with team environment.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; expertise in AutoCAD required.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology (6-sigma, 6-S, Continuous Improvement) a plus.
