Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and delivers new hire and ongoing technology training across multiple modalities, including classroom, virtual (VILT), one-on-one coaching, and on demand e-learning across all firm office locations.

  • Develops training materials and performance support resources, including quick reference guides, e-learning modules, microlearning videos, and interactive tutorials tailored to attorneys, paralegals, and business professionals.

  • Supports the firm’s AI adoption initiatives by developing and delivering training on available AI-powered tools and firm-approved generative AI applications used in legal practice operations.

  • Contributes to and executes the firmwide technology training strategy under the direction of the Training Manager; tracks training metrics and produces reports measuring effectiveness, adoption, and learner progress across all offices.

  • Partners with IT leadership, practice group leaders, and SMEs to conduct needs assessments, identify skill gaps, and develop targeted role-based training curriculum aligned with firm business goals.

  • Leads technology change management efforts for new software and upgrades for project initiatives with IT project managers and other IT administrative and user support professionals. Develop quality communication plans, training timelines, curriculum, and support resources.

  • Administers and maintains the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS), including publishing content, managing learning paths and course catalog, tracking completion records, and generating compliance and utilization reports for firm leadership.

  • Participates in software evaluation and pilot programs; conducts user testing, gathers feedback, and presents findings and training recommendations to IT management prior to firmwide deployment.

  • Evaluates training program effectiveness using learner feedback, knowledge assessments, and post-training performance data; identifies opportunities to improve content, delivery methods, and the end-user learning experience to enhance high quality user adoption and acceptance.

  • Maintains current knowledge of legal technology trends, instructional design methodologies, and emerging law firm technologies to enhance the relevance and quality of training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a law firm, professional services, Learning & Development or a related IT training role.

  • Experience with document management systems, communications/collaboration platforms and Microsoft Office 365 Suite.

  • Experience with Microsoft Word Styles and Legal Numbering software.

  • Experience in course design and development and a working knowledge of adult learning theory.

  • Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) Development or Administration, is highly desirable.

  • Experience in content creation and editing software using Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate, is highly desirable.

  • Experience with AI prompts, instructions, and AI-powered workflows, is highly desirable.

  • Ability to travel as needed.
