What to Know If You're New to Private Duty Nursing

LPNs/LVNs working in hospitals, long-term care, and schools have directly transferable skills and are well-equipped to handle one client in the home

Private duty = full shifts (8's, 10's, or 12's)

Private duty = one client for the whole shift

Private duty nursing is not 'visits'; nurses commute to only one client home per shift

Private duty skilled nurses at BAYADA choose their own flexible schedule based on client needs

Private duty nurses work with local clients nearby with short commutes

Private duty skilled nursing varies in acuity according to nurse skill and training interests: g-tube, trach, vent.

Qualifications for A Private Duty LPN:

Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma

A current nursing license in good standing in the state

Compensation & Schedule: 

Pay range:$38-$42 hourly based on experience and skills

Flexible scheduling with no minimums (Full-Time or Part-Time)
