The Clinical Educator is responsible for leading clinical education and staff development initiatives for the TES SNU office, with primary responsibility for oversight of the Nurse Residency Program in Tucson, initial orientation and training of field staff, ongoing skills assessments, staff training and development, and community education and promotion of BAYADA services and career opportunities.
This role partners closely with office leadership to support clinical excellence, staff competency, professional growth, and community engagement while ensuring alignment with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, current nursing practice standards, and BAYADA policies.
Requirements

- Holds a current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BSN preferred.
- Has a minimum of two (2) years of staff development or nursing education experience.
- Demonstrates subject matter knowledge and expertise.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates competence in basic PC skills required to perform job functions.
- Has acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
- Has the ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
Responsibilities

~1 min read- →Lead the Nurse Residency Program in Tucson.
- →Assess and evaluate staff needs in accordance with state and federal regulations, current nursing standards, accreditation standards, and BAYADA policies.
- →Assess and evaluate staff and client learning needs according to the client population served by the office, including adult and pediatric clients, and the type of care provided, including skilled, rehab, and personal care.
- →Plan and develop educational programs based on the learning needs of staff, clients, and caregivers.
- →Develop programs based on performance improvement data, including Incident Reports, Infection Control trends, chart reviews, and survey results.
- →Coordinate and conduct in-service training for staff.
- →Assist clinical managers with initial and ongoing competency requirements for field staff.
- →Provide opportunities for individual staff members to achieve professional growth and obtain continuing education.
- →Support a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and clinical excellence across the office.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop an annual engagement plan and set strategic quarterly goals for educating the Tucson community about BAYADA skilled nursing services and career opportunities.
- →Interact with referral sources and workforce partners to build positive long-term relationships and represent BAYADA as the preferred home care provider for complex, chronically ill patients.
- →Collaborate with the Director to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
- →Plan and coordinate joint venture recruiting and marketing efforts with multiple service offices to strengthen and leverage BAYADA presence in Tucson.
- →Promote awareness of BAYADA services, mission, and career opportunities through community education and outreach efforts.
- Strong clinical education, coaching, and facilitation skills
- Ability to assess learning needs and translate them into effective training plans
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with office leadership, field staff, referral sources, and community partners
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to professional development and high-quality client care
This role may require travel within the local market to support staff development, community outreach, and office initiatives. The Clinical Educator must be able to effectively function in both office and field-facing environments as needed.
