DSP needed for CDS in Annapolis, MD

Job Summary:
Bay-CSS is looking for a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Annapolis, MD. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to individuals with disabilities in a Community Developmental Services (CDS) setting. It is essential that the DSP has a valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance, as they may assist with transportation. The position entails Monday to Friday shifts from 8 am to 4 pm, with potential variations in hours due to transportation needs, offering a rate of $21 per hour.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient attitude
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Must pass a background check
- Willingness to attend and complete all required training

Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with disabilities with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Implement and adhere to individualized care plans
- Monitor individuals' progress and behaviors, documenting as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members as needed
