As our new casual baker, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding food experiences on a daily basis for our cafés in Tauranga city area, with the chance of also working occasionally events during evenings and weekends. You’ll work closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure items are delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner. This role is a casual position for 3 mornings a week with the chance of more hours as the business develops. You’ll need to be flexible with your availability to meet the needs of our busy events calendar.
About the role:
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- A passion for baking/pastry and commitment to food safety and hygiene
- Be available to work early mornings
- A strong team player who communicates well and stays calm under pressure
- Relevant experience or chef qualifications and Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous café/baking or production line experience desired
- Having reliable transport to be able to work at different locations
