Netball Umpire

About the role:

As an Umpire, you will gain great satisfaction that all participants have a fantastic experience through the provision of a high level of service. Being fully prepared, competent and up-to-speed with game rules and procedures will be your forte. Your dedication to encourage fair play and sportsmanship at all times, while providing a confident, consistent and unbiased service to all teams, will be unparalleled. 

We currently have two vacancies for active and enthusiastic individuals to join our fast-paced team of Netball Umpires at Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre and Mercury Baypark Arena. 

The Roles available are: 

• Umpiring seven-aside indoor netball on a Monday (Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre) 

• Umpiring six-aside indoor netball on a Tuesday (Mercury Arena) 

About you:

To be successful you must: 

• Either have played or currently playing netball 

• Be reliable and confident

• Have excellent communication skills

• Demonstrate excellent time management skills

• Have the ability to retain professional demeanour and make concise judgement calls

Holding a qualification in netball umpiring would be advantageous but is not necessary. Even if you haven't umpired netball before but enjoy the game you should apply. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be available to umpire games between the hours of 5.45pm to 9.30pm on a Monday at Haumaru or Tuesday evening at Mercury Baypark Arena.
