Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.
Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.
Recreation League Specialist:
Brushy Creek MUD is seeking a passionate and organized Recreation League Specialist to bring adults sports to life through the coordination and execution of a wide variety of recreational league activities. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of league operations, including planning, budgeting, marketing, scheduling, directing, and supervising, to deliver engaging, high-quality experiences for participants and their families.
Job Duties:
- Plans, coordinates, maintains, and implements adult sports leagues, tournaments, and programs.
- Supervises athletic programs, officials, scorekeepers, volunteer coaches, spectators, and participants
- Trains, oversees, coaches, schedules, and provides leadership for volunteers and team members.
- Enforces rules and safety standards.
- Monitors program activities and assists participants in recreational activities.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience working with the public and exceptional customer service.
- 1 year of experience organizing leagues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or related software
- Maintain current certification/license, or ability to attain certification/license within 90 days of hire:
- American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
Schedule:
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 1 pm to 9:30 pm
- Full-time position
