Role Summary:

This position contributes to the overall organization by prefabricating and pre-assembling identified assemblies within a mechanical design in advance of the project schedules requirement in an efficient and safe environment ensuring a high standard of quality. This role primarily interacts with Prefabrication Foreman and BIM and Prefabrication Coordinator and at times the Field Operations Manager. Reporting to the Prefabrication Foreman and ultimately the General Manager this role is critical in pursuing operational excellence observing all company processes and policies.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Receive and document materials required to assemble within a prefabrication spool map and design.

  • Work within the framework of the prefabrication management software and prefabrication team structure.

  • Work within the series of workstations safely, operating cutting and grooving equipment, forklifts and other tools.

  • Collaborate with Prefabrication Foreman and other assemblers / welders to safely, accurately and efficiently assemble pre-determined items assigned to the shop.

  • Enter data to manage time at each workstation, report Quality control issues and document variances.

  • Maintain a solid understanding of Evolve Shop software (trained by Hall) and other required company used software

  • Attend regular safety meetings / training sessions as required by management.

  • Package final assemblies for shipment readiness

  • Coordinate, load and manage shipping of final goods to site with team.

  • Safet Material Handling

Qualifications:


  • Years of experience: 2 years of mechanical assembly

  • Designations: None

  • Considered an asset:

    • Red Seal Certified Plumber, Gas Fitter, HVAC Technician

    • Past construction experience

    • AutoCAD experience

    • BC Class 5 or 7 driver’s license

    • Owning a vehicle
