About the Role
~1 min read- Coordinate and schedule homecare visits, making sure support is in place at the right times and in line with each person’s care plan.
- Build consistent rotas and runs so people see familiar faces and Care Workers have stable and consistent care hours.
- Plan ahead for holidays, sickness and changes in need, and respond quickly and safely to ensure care is always delivered.
- Work closely with Community Coaches and Trainers to schedule induction, training, shadowing and debriefs – arranging cover or adjusting rotas so learning can happen without impacting care delivery.
- Support Care Workers with clear information, realistic expectations and timely updates, so they can focus on delivering great care.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with the people we support, their families and professionals when schedules need to change (including delays or unavoidable changes).
- Handle sensitive conversations well, helping to maintain trust and provide reassurance.
- Respond promptly to concerns or complaints, intervening early and keeping colleagues informed so we work as one team around each person.
- Maintain accurate records for call schedules, availability, absences and contact logs on our systems.
- Use information and data to spot patterns and support practical improvements in how the service runs.
You’re organised, calm under pressure and great with people. You’re just as comfortable on the phone to a family member as you are reshaping a rota.
You will likely have:
- Experience of coordinating and scheduling (homecare or another fast-paced service environment is ideal).
- Proven ability to prioritise work, stay focused under pressure and manage competing demands.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to support colleagues, speak to families and liaise with professionals.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset – you spot problems early and help put improvements in place that stick.
- Good IT skills and confident using systems and data to plan work and assure quality.
- Driving licence and access to a car preferred, with good knowledge of Liverpool and surrounding areas.
