Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Coordinate backend engineering teams responsible for Pricing platforms that serve multiple countries, ensuring scalable, reliable and high-quality deliveries;
- →Drive execution and delivery across pods (squads), ensuring alignment with business priorities and timelines;
- →Act as a facilitator for agile ceremonies, removing impediments and improving team flow and predictability;
- →Partner closely with Product, Architecture and other engineering teams to define and evolve solutions;
- →Support developers' career growth through regular feedback, performance evaluations and development plans.
- →Promote engineering excellence, ensuring adoption of best practices in software design, observability, and reliability;
- →Hands-on with monitoring, code review, configuration tasks and deploy.
- →Support and guide the team on technical decisions when needed, being a strong partner for senior engineers;
- →Ensure systems are designed for scale, resiliency and performance in a distributed microservices environment;
- →Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement and DevOps mindset;
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related fields;
- Previous experience leading backend engineering teams;
- Strong experience with Java ecosystem and backend development;
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservices architectures;
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes);
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic or similar);
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, system integration and event-driven architectures;
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, design patterns and best practices;
- Experience with testing strategies (unit, integration, automation, performance);
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken);
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
