Estimator

• →Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine the requirements of projects.

• →Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for electrical installations.

• →Prepare and submit detailed and accurate project bids.

• →Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.

• →Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market prices for materials and labor.

• →Evaluate potential profitability of projects and provide recommendations to management.

• →Identify and implement cost-saving measures and solutions to increase project profitability.

• →Ensure all estimates comply with relevant electrical codes and standards.

• →Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information.

• →Monitor and report on project progress and cost performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the commercial construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.

• Proficient in using estimation software and tools.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Certification through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) or the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International is advantageous.

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time

• Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms

• Ability to lift and carry office supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds
