At Bellroy we pour our heart and soul into helping people move through the world. As demand for our work grows, we're after a mid-weight graphic designer with a love of the tactile - someone to help our brand land just as well off-screen as on.
Expect real variety. One week you might be designing a campaign for a retail space or getting packaging ready for print, the next you're shaping a launch post for social. You'll sit within our in-house Creative team, reporting to our Design Lead, with copywriters, photographers, producers and channel experts close at hand.
If you sweat the details, care about how something feels in the hand as much as how it looks, and like making things alongside other people, you'll find a sharp team to work with, the tools you need, and plenty of room to push your craft.
- 3+ years of professional in-house or agency experience, ideally with familiarity in physical and retail spaces
- Strong craft in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
- A track record in packaging and print design with a technical understanding of dielines exporting final art for print
- Experience translating campaign creative into three-dimensional spaces, such as retail windows, in-store environments and trade shows
- Solid time management skills and the ability to take a project from brief to completion, keeping things on track
- An open minded attitude - taking briefs well, welcoming feedback and genuinely loving to collaborate
- Experience with direct-to-consumer, lifestyle or fashion brands is preferred - the kind of work you'd see from a product brand, a considered communication agency or a Creative studio (an appetite for AI-assisted production is a bonus)!
If you don't tick every box, but are excited about the opportunity to learn and grow with an in-house Creative team, we'd still like to hear from you!
- Concepted and designed packaging for a new range of premium products, to elevate the unboxing experience
- Collaborated with a visual merchandiser to develop a story-driven concept for a trade show in Berlin, creating an array of print and digital assets to bring the story to life
- Adapted a campaign's hero assets into a visually engaging set of static socials
- Developed a brand new art direction for an upcoming campaign including a graphic art pack, typography, colour palette and photography shot list
- Worked alongside a copywriter, visual merchandiser and retail operations to develop print and digital assets for a retail window display.
- Designed a new edition of our 80 page brand book and range guide, 'cos who says print publishing is dead, right?
- Created a suite of three-dimensional in-store signage to help customers navigate the space while maintaining a strong and cohesive brand presence
- Experimented with the team on a new piece of software or AI technology in a Friday session.
You're a design all-rounder who'd rather build range across a wide array of applications than specialise deeply in one area. A curious thinker with a can-do attitude, you find the right solution using a finely tuned balance of intuition and logic, exploration and execution. You take a brief well, you welcome the feedback that sharpens it, and you bring a generous and collaborative energy to the Creative team.
You're keen to grow and learn. You lean on the previous experience of our in-house teams (such as production, commercial, copywriting and owned retail) to understand what works and why. You love variety, always looking for ways to innovate, improve and find a better approach to each new challenge. We’re big on a growth mindset here, so you’ll fit right in.
This role is full-time and based in our Collingwood office, with hybrid flexibility.
Start Date: We’re ready when you are!
Have a good look around our website, read about our story and get a feel for who we are. If you think you'd fit right in, send us your resume, a cover letter and portfolio!
