The Reconciliation Specialist, reporting to the Reconciliation & Development Manager, will be part of Betclic’s Finance Team and will be responsible for ensuring that external payment service provider transactions are reconciled accurately and on time against the internal back office, settlement files and provider balances.

The role requires a highly analytical and investigative profile with strong SQL/database skills, solid accounting knowledge and prior PSP reconciliation experience. The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, able to work closely with Finance, Fraud, Payments and other internal stakeholders to identify, explain and resolve reconciliation issues.

This position calls for a self-motivated person who can take initiative, adapt positively to change and apply a sceptical eye throughout daily and monthly reconciliation cycles. AAT qualification or progress towards ACCA would be an advantage.

In this role, your main missions will be:

  • Run daily PSP reconciliations using the company’s reconciliation and matching tools
  • Extract, validate and analyse data from PSP portals, bank back offices, internal systems and databases
  • Use SQL/database queries to investigate reconciliation breaks, missing transactions, settlement variances and data quality issues
  • Review matching exceptions, document root causes and follow up on unreconciled items
  • Work closely with Finance, Fraud, Payments and other stakeholders to resolve open reconciliation issues
  • Adjust the Back Office for identified missing or unreconciled transactions in line with internal controls
  • Prepare clear daily and ad hoc reports highlighting mismatches, losses, provider fees and key risks
  • Prepare PSP month-end reconciliations, including settlement, fee and balance sheet accounting checks
  • Follow up on recurring reconciliation issues and support sustainable process improvements
  • Support testing, implementation and optimisation of PSP reconciliation tools, including data mapping and controls
  • Maintain PSP reconciliation procedure manuals and related documentation
  • Contribute to improvements in payment-related procedures, controls and reporting

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!

This job is for you if you have:

  • Prior PSP reconciliation experience
  • Strong SQL/database skills
  • Good accounting knowledge and double-entry understanding
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Clear communicator
  • And finally, you speak English fluently.
