We're looking for an experienced International SEO/AEO Manager to own organic growth across our priority international markets. You'll sit at the intersection of technical strategy, content, and editorial — driving qualified user acquisition for a global brand operating in a highly regulated industry. As AI reshapes how people discover and consume information, this role requires equal fluency in traditional search and the emerging answer engine landscape: AI Overviews, blue links, LLMs, and beyond. You'll bring that lens to our Spanish, French, Dutch, and German markets and build the playbook for what comes next.
- Develop and execute SEO and AEO strategies that improve visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.
- Build, own, and manage large-scale AI-assisted content refresh initiatives across the U.S. content portfolio.
- Identify, prioritize, and optimize high-impact content opportunities based on search demand, business goals, and conversion potential.
- Ensure refreshed content aligns with E-E-A-T principles and represents the most helpful, authoritative, and trustworthy answer available for users.
- Stay current on search algorithm updates, AI search developments, and industry best practices, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Serve as the primary owner of SEO and AEO performance reporting across the organization.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance summaries for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze rankings, traffic, conversions, visibility, engagement, and AI search performance.
- Measure the impact of optimization initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations for future improvements.
- Communicate key trends, risks, opportunities, and strategic insights on a recurring basis.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of content performance, competitor strategies, and search visibility.
- Identify content gaps, emerging topics, and opportunities to improve topical authority and search performance.
- Evaluate content quality through the lens of user intent, expertise, completeness, trustworthiness, and answer quality—not solely keyword coverage or rankings.
- Partner with editorial, content, clinical, and subject matter experts to improve content quality and optimization outcomes.
- Leverage expert authorship, clinical review, citations, and trust signals to strengthen content authority and search performance.
- Analyze performance data to identify and prioritize content refresh opportunities for upcoming sprints.
- Maintain a roadmap of optimization initiatives based on business impact, competitive positioning, and search opportunity.
- Recommend which content should be refreshed, expanded, consolidated, or enhanced to maximize organic growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure optimization efforts align with broader business objectives.
- You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
- You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
- You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
- You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.
Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We ask employees to travel to our San Jose, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships. Travel expenses are covered and reasonable accommodations are made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.
