In-Room Dining Overnight Butler

Provide excellent guest service according to the Hay Adams Standard. Take orders, prepare and deliver food and beverage and guest amenities to guest rooms. Execute designated side-work in In-Room Dining and maintain department during the night by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities

- →Respect guest privacy and property following all hotel guest service procedures and quality standards including: observe do not disturb signs, double locked doors, never touch guest property, never allow entrance to any person to a guest room.
- →Accurately take orders directly from patrons requesting In-Room Dining by following the established standards, especially phone courtesy and actively selling food and beverage.
- →Answer questions and make suggestions regarding food, beverage and service.
- →Post orders in Micros and issue a guest check for each order. Total bills and accept payment.
- →Prepare ordered food and beverage. Deliver food and beverage to guest rooms, making sure all condiments and garnishes are correct.
- →Clean and restock service items according to established par levels. Clean, clear, set and reset In-Room Dining trolleys according to established standards.
- →Pick up In-Room Dining trolleys from guestrooms and/or do walkthroughs to remove dirty dishes and trays from guest floors and hallways.
- →Collect breakfast preorders and accurately relay orders to the kitchen.
- →Prepare mise-en-place and conduct side work for the following breakfast shift, according to established practices.
- →Clean all spills and breakages immediately. Report any damage or worn items to In-Room Dining Manager.
- →The understanding that customer care and customer expectations have the highest priority is imperative. This position requires strong guest service skills and personal behavior.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have good working knowledge of the English language - ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guest and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more
