Responsibilities

- →Professional development: mentorship with industry leaders, organization-wide training, and professional development scholarships
Responsibilities
~1 min readPlan and implement daily group activities with youth ages 5-12, or 13-18
- →Transport youth in Club vehicles (school pick-ups, fieldtrips, etc.)
- →Ensure engagement and promote consistent attendance of youth enrolled in activities
- →Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring, guidance, and role modeling to support their leadership development, artistic skills, physical activity engagement, and academic progress
- →Provide active supervision, continually interacting with all members
- →Submit regular lesson plans, attendance sheets, and other paperwork responsibilities
- →Plan special events, such as guest speakers, performances, or field trips
- →Abide by and carry out safety policies and procedures
- →Attend local trainings
- Willingness to learn and implement Trauma-Informed Practices to create an environment of safety, awareness, trust, and empathy with youth and fellow staff members
- Social-emotional competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making
- Ability to work in high-energy, loud, and active settings with large groups of youth and teens
- Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish them in a detailed, timely manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with Club Members, peers, parents, community leaders, etc.
- Self-motivated, and comfortable with both independent and collaborative processes
- Strong group management skills
