Human Resources Assistant

The position works full-time Monday through Thursday, The position includes medical, dental, disability, and life insurance. The position also includes paid leave. The successful candidate must be an active member of a Southern Baptist church and be in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000). The right candidate will be prepared to support the work of our human resources office through a variety of tasks, including data management, assisting with payroll, and answering phones.

• →Perform any necessary administrative work for HR staff
• →Compile and update employee documentation and all records
• →Assist with new employee orientation by providing onboarding packets and answering any questions about payroll, benefits, and other key tenets of employment
• →Help new hires complete steps for payroll setup
• →Answer employee inquiries as needed
• →Complete forms, logs, and records to keep track of human resources processes
• →Answer telephone calls as they come in, taking detailed messages
• →Prepare reports

• BA/BS in human resources or similar field preferred
• Strong working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
• Familiarity with labor laws
• Superb organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a team player
