Occupational Health Nurse - PRN - Business Health Solutions (BHS)
Trust Your Gut. Take the Lead. Make a Difference.
At Business Health Solutions (BHS), we believe the best occupational health nurses don't wait for problems to find them — they're already three steps ahead. We're looking for a part-time Occupational Health Nurse who combines sharp clinical judgment with a genuine heart for people. If you're the kind of nurse who reads a room, anticipates a need, and leads with both confidence and compassion, you belong here.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational health services — from first aid and triage to physicals, screenings, and medical surveillance
- Assess and manage work-related injuries and illnesses, supporting return-to-work with clarity and care
- Respond to medical emergencies on-site and coordinate seamlessly with local hospitals and EMS
- Provide case management that balances clinical expertise with client policies and employee advocacy
- Champion wellness and health promotion programs that keep employees engaged and thriving
- Collaborate with client leadership on special projects and deliver impactful employee education
- This is a part-time, weekend-focused role that requires flexibility to work different shifts and hours based on operational needs.
What You Bring:
- Current RN license in the state of Tennessee
- BLS Certification and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
- 3–5 years of nursing experience; occupational health background strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, and Workers' Compensation regulations
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Hearing Conservation, or Spirometry (a plus)
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends — and a mindset that embraces it
- Emotional intelligence — you lead with empathy, regulate under pressure, and communicate with purpose
Why BHS? Because our values aren't just words — they're how we work:
- Excellence in presence, conflict resolution, and communication
- Integrity through discretion, respect, and compassion
- Service that's proactive, clinically sound, and current
- Humility that keeps outcomes and clients at the forefront
What We Offer for our Part-Time Team:
- 401(k) retirement plan
- PPE and safety gear provided
- Educational assistance and certification support
- Employee discounts and benefits (even for part-time team members)
- A supportive team culture rooted in care and service
This part-time weekend role is more than a flexible schedule — it's an opportunity to grow. As an expanding area for BHS, strong performers have a clear path toward a full-time position.
Your instincts matter here. Your initiative drives outcomes. Your leadership makes the difference.
Join BHS and be the difference between chaos and calm, between uncertainty and direction — between a problem and a solution.
