Job Summary: 

Working from our Clients site location in Fort McMurray the Swamper position entails assisting a hydro vac operator preform jobs daily of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit.  Mechanical skills will be an asset and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather.  Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector.   

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Position entails assisting a hydro vac operator preform jobs daily
• Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather 
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by operator. 
• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image
• Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications: 

• Possess a (minimum) valid Class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract 
• Previous (or related) experience operating hydro Vac units 
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
• H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening
