Cost Accountant

Cost Accounting & Analysis

• Monitor actual costs vs. standard costs and investigate variances.
• Analyze standard costs of products and services.
• Oversee inventory valuation and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Review and reconcile work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventories.
• Perform bi-annual inventory counts.
  
  

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Assist in month-end close activities including journal entries related to inventory, cost accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare full set of accounts for multiple entities. Maintain and update general ledger accounts, oversee the daily accounting operations of the business, including revenue, expenses, and cost allocations.
• Prepare and review accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure accurate financial records related to product costing.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend improvements in cost control processes and systems.
  

• Experience: Min 5 years of experience in Auditing or Accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA/CPA certification or progress toward certification is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting standards (USAAP. IFRS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Preferably at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or Public Accounting firm with relevant experience
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes
