Black & McDonald is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our Mechanical Service team in Vancouver, BC. This role focuses on the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
You will work independently and as part of a team to deliver high‑quality service while maintaining strong client relationships and adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic (BC) or registered apprentice progressing toward certification
- →Class B R Refrigeration Field Safety Representative (FSR)
- →CFC/ODS Certification
- →Class B Gas Fitter (Class A considered an asset)
- →Minimum 5 years of related trade experience
- →Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Requirements
~1 min read- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving ability
- Solid electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Professional, customer focused communication skills
- Experience with control systems considered an asset
