We provide a full continuum of outpatient behavioral health services including individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as psychiatric evaluations and medication management, through our New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) licensed Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) counseling center. Our clinical team is highly trained across a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychoanalysis, EMDR, CBT, and spiritually integrated psychotherapy.

The Clinical Quality Supervisor is a leadership role within Blanton-Peale's OMH-licensed MHOTRS counseling center, responsible for upholding the highest standards of clinical care, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Clinic Director, this position provides individual and group supervision to a multidisciplinary clinical team, including Social Work Interns, and serves as a key driver of quality assurance across all aspects of outpatient behavioral health services.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Provide individual and group clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring adherence to both OMH regulations and psychoanalytic principles.
- Provide supervision for and oversight of Social Work Interns.
- Mentor therapists in case formulation, diagnostic assessment, and psychodynamic psychotherapy techniques.
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop professional training plans.
- Ensure all clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries) meets OMH Part 599 requirements.
- Conduct regular chart audits to ensure accuracy, clinical necessity, and audit readiness.
- Lead high risk case consultation meetings and the incident review processes (Incident Review Committee) and implement corrective action plans (CAPs) for safety issues.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid, managed care, and billing regulations to maximize reimbursement while maintaining compliance.
- Review and approve initial assessments, treatment plans and discharge summaries.
- Manage therapist caseloads, service levels, and service utilization to meet agency goals.
- Collaborate with the Psychoanalytic Institute to integrate psychodynamic training into the community clinic setting.
- Lead clinical care planning and operations meetings.
- May carry a small case load for crisis and/or coverage.
Requirements
~1 min read- Active NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LCSW-R) or Licensed Psychologist required;
- SIFI (Seminar in Field Instruction) certified or the ability to obtain certification within the first 6 months of employment.
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- MHOTRS Knowledge: Deep understanding of NYS OMH Part 599 MHOTRS regulations, Medicaid requirements, and Article 31 standards.
- Psychoanalytic Background: Training or experience within a psychoanalytic or psychodynamic institute.
- Technology: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Strong ability to audit clinical documentation for quality and accuracy.
- Ability to manage a diverse clinical team and lead in a high-performing, distributed environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team leadership and crisis management.
