Position Summary: - Lab In charge

Join our dynamic Nepal team! We're looking for a motivated, talented STEM/Technology Support Specialist to join our team at Kopila Valley School. We are seeking an experienced support specialist for our Nepali teaching team.

Work Location: Birendranagar -1, Surkhet

The Main Responsibilities

1. Help support all teachers in the use of technology and STEM resources.
2. Mentor and support our teachers through science and technology across multiple subject areas and grade levels (pre-primary to secondary)
3. Liaise between teachers and purchasing, to ensure all STEM supplies are purchased, installed, maintained, inventoried, and discarded, according to organization practices.

Additional expectations

• Takes ownership of support, change, and engages and encourages innovation
• Builds positive working relationships and helps to build an environment in the organization by bringing solutions to the discussion table.
• Reports to the manager on a weekly basis, and as needed in case of urgent activities.
• Builds and maintains a strong relationship with the students, teachers and relevant stakeholders.
• Attends weekly staff meetings, and shares operational updates.
• Possesses experience in multicultural environments
• Previous experience in Science and STEM support, and/or experience in Math, Science, Sustainability, or Environmental Education a plus

The above list of responsibilities is not comprehensive, and the Lab In-Charge may be required to take on additional responsibilities, as determined by his/her supervisor.

Must Haves

1. Education and Experience: University Graduate in any discipline (University students with hands-on experience in similar field).
2. Language: A good communicator, and fluent in English and Nepali will be an advantage
3. Skills and Abilities: Ability to problem-solve, trouble-shoot, find solutions to technology and STEM issues, manage, mentor and lead teaching activities
4. Passionate about and cares for children and vulnerable population; initiator, and competent in managing operations and logistics in the organization.
5. Works collaboratively and independently with the least supervision required.
