Head of Design

At Blip, we’re building the most advanced platform for intelligent conversations between companies and people. Our product ecosystem powers conversational experiences that combine messaging, AI, marketing, and commerce into one seamless journey. As we grow our multi-product strategy, we’re looking for a Head of Design to lead and elevate the impact of our design discipline across all products and services.

As Head of Design, you’ll be responsible for leading the entire Design discipline at Blip — including Product Design, Design Engineer, UX Writing, and Research — ensuring a coherent and scalable experience across our full portfolio of platforms, products, and customer journeys.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders in Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Data, AI, and Professional Services to shape our long-term product vision, build high-performing teams, and ensure our experiences are delightful, inclusive, and aligned with our mission to help companies grow through intelligent conversations.

• →Own the design vision across the entire Blip product portfolio, ensuring high-quality, cohesive, and scalable experiences across multiple touchpoints.
  
  
• →Partner with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Data, AI, and Professional Services teams to define multi-year experience strategies and support go-to-market execution.
  
  
• →Build and maintain a strong design culture rooted in trust, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  
  
• →Lead and grow a cross-functional design organization including Product Designers, Design Engineer, UX Writers, and Researchers.
  
  
• →Attract, hire, and retain top talent; ensure strong onboarding, mentorship, performance management, and career development processes.
  
  
• →Drive cross-product initiatives that improve quality and coherence in the customer experience, including shared frameworks, visual language, accessibility, and tone of voice.
  
  
• →Monitor all customer feedback channels to ensure Product Design acts as the voice of the customer, representing their perspective in the CX Committee and the product roadmap definition.
  
  
• →Promote innovation and prototyping by encouraging the use of cutting-edge design techniques and tools, including those powered by Artificial Intelligence, to explore new solutions that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  
  
• →Champion the use of user research, experimentation, and evidence-based design to inform product development and de-risk decisions.
  
  
• →Oversee user research and testing to uncover insights about behaviors and needs, translating those findings into actionable design decisions.
  
  
• →Define and evolve our internal Design System and Design Ops practices to support scalability and consistency.

• Proven leadership experience in Design roles within B2B SaaS or platform-based tech companies, ideally with multiple product lines.
  
  
• Strong portfolio or track record showing your ability to drive impact at scale — from strategy through execution.
  
  
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams with designers, researchers, and writers.
  
  
• Deep understanding of modern product development and agile/dual-track methodologies.
  
  
• Strong systems thinking and experience with complex platforms or design systems.
  
  
• Clear communicator with excellent storytelling skills — able to influence across functions and levels.
  
  
• Strategic mindset, with a hands-on, empathetic leadership style.
  
  
• Passion for conversational products, team empowerment, and delivering business impact through design.
  
  
• Fluency in English is required.
