We’re passionate about creating practical pieces that make life a little easier and literally lighten the load. Building Poppy & Peonies has been an incredible adventure. It all started when my daughter Poppy was born, and I found that my accessories no longer fit my new life as a mom. I needed bags with pockets and organization that looked cool but also had functionality. When I couldn’t find them, I decided to create them myself. And so, in 2015, Poppy & Peonies was born. We’ve come a long way since then—from filling orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons’ Den, and now, expanding into new product categories and collaborating with exciting influencers and brands. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but thanks to our incredible community, we’ve never felt more loved and supported!We believe in our responsibility to care for the environment and are passionate about preserving the health and welfare of our planet and the animals that live on it. That’s why all of our bags are made from high-quality vegan leather, and our entire product line is vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-approved. We ship our products plastic-free and use a combination of recycled, compostable, and biodegradable materials to mitigate shipping waste. We are constantly looking for new ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable, reducing our carbon footprint.

As our Community Coordinator, you are the voice of Poppy & Peonies. You will be an integral part of Poppy & Peonies' growing marketing team, supporting the day-to-day management of our social community. Reporting directly to the Social Marketing Specialist, this role is designed to strengthen our connection with our audience and ensure every interaction feels personal, timely, and on-brand. 

You will play a key role in bringing our brand to life through conversation; engaging with our audience in real time, responding to comments and DMs, and fostering a strong, loyal community. This position will allow the Social Marketing Specialist to focus on high-level strategy, growth initiatives, and content direction, while ensuring a best-in-class experience across all social touch points. Your work will play a key role in shaping how our customers experience Poppy & Peonies every day. This is an entry level opportunity ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in social media, community management, and digital brand growth. 

  • Be present and engaged across all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and beyond), actively responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, on-brand way
  • Build genuine relationships with our community by creating thoughtful, engaging, and personalized interactions
  • Provide customer support through social channels by answering questions related to products, orders, and general inquiries
  • Escalate complex or sensitive customer issues to the appropriate internal teams when needed
  • Actively engage beyond inbound messages—liking, commenting, and participating in conversations to deepen community connection
  • Monitor brand mentions and conversations, ensuring no opportunity for engagement is missed
  • Keep a pulse on community sentiment, trends, and recurring feedback, sharing insights with the team
  • Support maintaining a positive, inclusive, and brand-aligned online environment
  • Collaborate closely with the Social Marketing Specialist to ensure seamless execution, enabling focus on strategy and growth initiatives
  • You have 1–2+ years of experience in community management, customer service, or social media
  • You are highly online and have a strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
  • You have exceptional written communication skills and can adapt tone to reflect brand voice
  • You genuinely enjoy connecting with people and creating positive customer experiences
  • You are responsive, organized, and able to manage multiple conversations at once
  • You bring a customer-first mindset with empathy, positivity, and attention to detail
  • You are proactive—you don’t just respond, you engage and build relationships
  • You’re a collaborative team player who communicates effectively with cross-functional teams
  • You’re flexible and can adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • You are detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
