The Director of Clinical Training is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing Bloomwell's clinical training and professional development programs across all regions for clinical services teammates. This leader ensures every teammate receives high-quality onboarding, competency-based training, and ongoing professional development that promotes clinical excellence, treatment fidelity, and long-term career growth.
The Director of Clinical Training partners closely with Clinical Directors, Clinic Success Managers, Clinical Leads, and executive leadership to build standardized training systems that support teammates from their first day through advanced leadership opportunities. This position also serves as the program lead for Bloomwell's Clinical Residency and Fieldwork Program, ensuring future BCBAs receive exceptional supervision, mentorship, and unrestricted learning opportunities.
- Oversee all BT/RBT clinical onboarding programs across Bloomwell, including adherence to schedules, competency completion, and quality assurance.
- Ensure standardized onboarding experiences across all clinics and regions.
- Facilitate onboarding weeks as needed to maintain continuity and training quality.
- Manage adherence and implementation of sister site training and off-cycle BT onboarding.
- Collaborate with Clinic Success Managers and Clinical Directors to ensure completion of each teammate's structured 30-day training plan.
- Develop onboarding schedules, competency timelines, and training workflows.
- Monitor onboarding outcomes and implement continuous improvements.
- Assist with initial and ongoing Bloomwell Skills Competency evaluations.
- Support remediation planning for teammates requiring additional clinical training.
- Ensure competency evaluations are completed consistently and on schedule.
- Utilize competency data to identify organizational training needs and opportunities.
- Improve and create training materials to align with state-specific standards as payor requirements, rules, and regulations evolve.
- Review and evaluate applications for the Clinical Residency Program, ensuring alignment with program criteria and organizational needs.
- Lead live orientation sessions for incoming trainees and residents, clearly outlining expectations, timelines, and competency requirements.
- Monitor and track fieldwork hour completion on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with BACB requirements and internal benchmarks.
- Ensure smooth, timely transitions from trainee to resident roles, coordinating with clinical leadership and supervisors as needed.
- Lead and facilitate group supervision meetings in accordance with BACB supervision standards.
- Support and coach BCBAs in developing high-quality supervision skills, including feedback delivery, ethical supervision practices, and competency-based evaluation.
- Serve as a clinical resource to supervisors and residents regarding fieldwork requirements, documentation, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain a structured, clinic-ready curriculum to be utilized across Bloomwell locations.
- Design competency-based projects aligned with the BACB Task List that residents can complete independently outside of accrued fieldwork hours.
- Ensure curriculum and projects emphasize applied skills, clinical decision-making, and ethical practice.
- Lead journal clubs to strengthen residents' conceptual foundations and promote engagement with current research and evidence-based practices.
- Foster a culture of clinical curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning within the residency program.
- Develop and deliver continuing education opportunities for BTs and RBTs.
- Provide quarterly Professional Development Units (PDUs).
- Support teammates in identifying career pathways within Bloomwell.
- Collaborate with leadership on advanced training tracks and leadership development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a BCBA.
- Demonstrated experience supervising RBTs and BCBA trainees.
- Experience designing or delivering clinical training programs.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
- Passion for mentorship, coaching, and leadership development.
- Active BCBA licensure where required.
- Licensed, or willing to obtain licensure, in all states served by Bloomwell (Minnesota, Nebraska, and North Carolina).
- Willingness to travel approximately 40%.
- Pass a drug screening as needed.
- Availability to work across Central and Eastern time zones.
- Pass a background check in all of Bloomwell's regions.
- Telehealth experience preferred.
