Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Convert high-level network concepts into scalable physical connectivity frameworks, including fiber and cabling infrastructure designs.
- →Design comprehensive fiber infrastructure plans, defining multi-fiber connector schemes, backbone capacity planning, modular panel configurations, and cabinet-level routing approaches.
- →Create port to fiber mapping standards that support high density, multi pod hyperscale deployments.
- →Define optical transceiver strategies for 400G and 800G environments, including reach analysis and link budget modeling.
- →Establish structured cabling standards covering patching architecture, pathways, labeling, and documentation.
- →Ensure infrastructure readiness for future speed migrations and hardware refresh cycles.
- →Incorporate physical connectivity details into infrastructure management systems to enable granular tracking of individual links and connection points.
- →Partner with cross functional engineering and operations teams to support deployment, testing, and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Extensive experience developing network infrastructure frameworks for large, mission-critical facilities, ideally within highly scaled, high-volume environments.
- Deep expertise in structured cabling systems from major manufacturers and strong command of MPO and MTP based architectures.
- Strong understanding of IEEE 802.3 optical standards and modern transceiver technologies including DR4, FR4, LR4, SR8, and coherent interconnect solutions.
- Hands on knowledge of fiber testing methodologies including OTDR, insertion loss testing, and polarity validation.
- Experience coordinating physical infrastructure documentation within broader operational or tracking systems.
- Ability to balance technical depth with practical implementation, cost optimization, and long term scalability.
