Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for lighting control systems projects, focusing on both midsize and large-scale opportunities.
  • Interpret project specifications, architectural plans, and control system requirements to produce effective take-offs and material lists.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales teams, manufacturers, and external customers to support successful bid strategies.
  • Assist with project layout designs and value-engineering recommendations for optimal system functionality and cost efficiency.
  • Input data and maintain project records in internal tracking systems including quotes, layouts, and rebid details.
  • Attend product training sessions to stay current with evolving technologies and application strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of control products and systems in the commercial lighting market.
  • 2–4 years of experience in lighting controls estimation, take-offs, and project quotations within the commercial or architectural lighting sector.
  • Strong understanding of lighting control systems and their application in energy management or smart building environments.
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, and internet-based research.
  • Solid math and analytical skills with a keen eye for project detail.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with a capacity to handle multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solver capable of working independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
