Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide onsite technical support to customer facilities related to packaging performance, equipment interaction, and product application issues
- →Troubleshoot line challenges involving vacuum systems, clipping equipment, shrink applications, and related production processes
- →Investigate field issues, inspect materials in use, and support complaint resolution with practical corrective actions
- →Deliver customer training, process guidance, and technical demonstrations to improve uptime and application consistency
- →Monitor product performance at customer sites and communicate findings, recommendations, and follow up actions clearly
- →Partner with internal sales, operations, manufacturing, and quality teams to align on customer needs and technical solutions
- →Support product trials, customer development efforts, and process improvement initiatives that strengthen long term relationships
- →Prepare service reports, visit summaries, and expense documentation in a timely and organized manner
- Experience in field service, technical support, applications engineering, process support, or a similar customer facing technical role
- Background in flexible packaging, shrink films, food packaging, converting, or a related manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of packaging equipment and production processes, ideally including vacuum sealing, clipping, and shrink applications
- Ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical next steps
- Comfort leading customer training sessions and speaking with operators, supervisors, and plant leadership
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while traveling extensively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard reporting tools
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience is also valued
- Experience supporting protein, cheese, meat, poultry, or other food processing environments is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with quality systems, corrective actions, and continuous improvement practices is a plus
- This is a remote role with frequent travel to customer locations across the United States
- Travel is expected to be significant and may reach up to 75 percent depending on customer needs and project demands
- Work will take place in production environments as well as customer office and meeting settings
- Candidates should be comfortable standing, walking, inspecting lines, using tools, and working safely in plant environments
