Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections throughout mechanical installation, fabrication, and welding activities.
  • Verify completed work complies with project specifications, engineering drawings, applicable codes, and established quality standards.
  • Review construction plans and technical documentation to help ensure work is completed accurately and according to project requirements.
  • Complete inspection documentation and keep organized records throughout the duration of the project.
  • Work closely with field personnel and project stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and resolve project concerns.
  • Participate in internal audits, inspections, and quality reviews while helping ensure continuous process improvement.
  • Monitor construction activities to support compliance with safety requirements and quality expectations.
  • Assist with investigations of nonconforming work and help implement effective corrective measures.
  • Support quality planning activities, project documentation, and field verification efforts throughout project execution.
  • Promote a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency reviewing construction drawings, technical documents, and project specifications.
  • Experience performing quality inspections and maintaining accurate inspection documentation within an industrial or construction environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, evaluate information, and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and travel when project schedules require.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Three or more years of experience supporting quality control or construction quality programs in industrial environments.
  • Experience supporting large commercial or advanced manufacturing construction projects.
  • Familiarity with applicable welding codes, fabrication standards, and construction quality systems.
  • ASQ certification or similar quality credential.
  • Chinese language proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to safely navigate active construction sites.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate completed work for quality and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working at heights and using ladders when required.
