Warehouse Attendant

Operates forklift machinery to lift, load, or move material as directed and must be able to pull and back up truck with a trailer. Job Duties: Inspects machinery and assess the work area before operations to ensure safety. Takes proper precautionary measures when operating machinery. Maintains and repairs forklift equipment as needed logging all maintenance procedures. Supports essential logistic operations through storage, transportation, and repairing equipment. Notifies technicians in advance when forklifts are in need of service. Experience and Education: Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter. Typically requires a high school diploma, fork lift certificate, and 0 to 2 years of experience. Reports to: Typically reports to a department head or manager. Competencies: Vision. Persistence. Judgement. Clean driving record. Manual dexterity.
