Software Engineer

Bluecrux is a value chain consulting and technology company, specializing in transformative solutions for today’s complex supply chain landscape.

In this role, you’ll contribute directly to Axon™, our Digital Twin SaaS platform. We’re looking for Software Engineers who are curious, analytically strong, and excited to grow in an intellectually challenging product environment. You don’t need a traditional software or computer science background. You do need strong reasoning skills, an interest in software development, and the ambition to become very good at it.

Our platform is used especially in Life Sciences and Healthcare, where supply chains are highly complex and decisions can directly impact product launches, availability, and access to medicines. By helping companies see their supply chain more clearly, Axon supports faster product launches, better use of working capital, and more room for investment in research and development.

Axon is also still in a scale-up phase. There is a strong product vision, many new ideas to build, and a lot of product innovation still ahead. As a Software Engineer, you will not just maintain existing software. You will help shape and improve a product that is still evolving.

• You join the backend Analytics team within Product & Engineering: a close‑knit team of 20+ data scientists and engineers working closely with product owners to deliver end‑to‑end platform features.

• You help build and evolve the analytical backbone of the Axon platform.

• You translate strong abstract and analytical thinking into real‑world software solutions.

• You integrate customer data into scalable data models, building complex graph structures, analytical logic, and advanced capabilities for calculations, simulations, and querying.

• You write clean, production‑ready code with a strong focus on quality and maintainability.

• You build and extend a sophisticated backend, using .NET.

• You use AI—curiously and with judgement—to explore design options, improve code, validate tests, and speed up repetitive work.

• You’ll report to the Lead Software Engineer of Axon technology.

• Have a strong analytical and abstract reasoning mindset and enjoy mathematics, complex systems, and intellectual challenges.

• Hold a master’s degree in fields such as (Civil) Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or similar.

• Have a strong interest in software development. Prior development experience is a big plus, but not required.

• Are curious about how AI is reshaping software development and eager to grow with it.

• Enjoy understanding how technical choices connect to real business impact.

• Are fluent in Dutch & English.
