The Banquet Server is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet and meeting spaces while ensuring all events are executed according to hotel standards. This position plays a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences by maintaining clean, organized, and well-prepared function spaces.
Duties:
- Set up banquet rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Banquet Captain, including tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, linens, podiums, and audio-visual equipment
- Break down meeting and event spaces after each event
- Ensure meeting rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked before, during, and after events
- Reset rooms quickly between events while maintaining quality standards
- Assist banquet servers with water service, coffee stations, buffets, and event support as needed
- Transport tables, chairs, staging, linens, and other banquet equipment safely throughout the hotel
- Maintain banquet storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Perform routine inspections of banquet equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately
- Respond promptly to guest and client requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Work closely with the Banquet Captain, Catering Manager, F&B Team, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous banquet, hospitality, hotel, or event setup experience preferred but not required
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and early mornings
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
