## As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Cardiovascular, you will serve as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals across Ontario. Through meaningful, peer-to-peer engagement, you will contribute to advancing clinical understanding, supporting evidence-based practice, and ultimately improving patient outcomes.
## This field-based role offers a unique opportunity to combine scientific expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship-building in a highly collaborative and purpose-driven environment.
## What You Will Do
### Lead Scientific Engagement
* Build and maintain strong, peer-to-peer relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs) and healthcare professionals
* Deliver high-quality scientific exchange through in-person and virtual interactions
* Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries with accurate, balanced, and evidence-based information
* Maintain deep and up-to-date knowledge of the therapeutic landscape and emerging data
### Shape Medical Strategy Through Insights
* Gather meaningful field insights and translate them into actionable recommendations
* Contribute to the development and execution of medical strategies and plans
* Identify unmet needs and emerging trends to inform future priorities
### Collaborate Across the Organization
* Partner with internal teams across Medical, Market Access, and other functions
* Provide scientific expertise and contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing
* Support the execution of key medical initiatives and projects
### Advance Clinical Research
* Support clinical trials and Non-Interventional Research (NIR) activities, including site identification and feasibility
* Contribute insights to clinical development based on field engagement
* Partner with investigators and support compliance with regulatory and pharmacovigilance requirements
## What We’re Looking For
### Education
* Advanced degree required: MD, PharmD, or PhD
* Or a scientific degree with relevant pharmaceutical or clinical experience
### Experience & Skills
* Experience in a scientific, clinical, or medical affairs environment
* Strong ability to build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into meaningful insights
* Strong understanding of clinical trial design and research processes
* Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system, including access environment and stakeholder dynamics
* Familiarity with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) core concepts
* Demonstrated ability to quickly and comprehensively learn new scientific areas and adapt to evolving environments
* Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a field-based role
### Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in cardiovascular disease strongly preferred
* Experience in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is an asset

Responsabilités principales
Assurer des échanges scientifiques de qualité
* Établir et maintenir des relations professionnelles solides avec les leaders d’opinion (KOL) et les professionnels de la santé
* Assurer des échanges scientifiques pertinents, en personne et en mode virtuel
* Répondre aux demandes médicales non sollicitées en fournissant des informations exactes, équilibrées et fondées sur des données probantes
* Maintenir une connaissance approfondie et à jour de l’aire thérapeutique et des données scientifiques émergentes
Contribuer à la stratégie médicale grâce aux données terrain
* Recueillir des informations clés issues du terrain (insights) et les traduire en recommandations concrètes
* Participer à l’élaboration et à la mise en œuvre des stratégies et plans médicaux
* Identifier les besoins non comblés et les tendances émergentes afin d’orienter les priorités futures
Collaborer de manière transversale
* Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes internes (Affaires médicales, Accès au marché et autres fonctions)
* Contribuer au développement des connaissances internes et aux activités de formation
* Soutenir la mise en œuvre d’initiatives et de projets médicaux clés
Soutenir les activités de recherche clinique
* Participer aux essais cliniques et aux études non interventionnelles, incluant l’identification des sites et les évaluations de faisabilité
* Fournir des informations pertinentes pour le développement clinique à partir des interactions terrain
* Collaborer avec les investigateurs et veiller au respect des exigences réglementaires et de pharmacovigilance
Profil recherché
Formation
* Diplôme de troisième cycle requis : MD, PharmD ou PhD
* Ou diplôme scientifique avec expérience pertinente en industrie pharmaceutique ou en milieu clinique
Expérience et compétences
* Expérience dans un environnement scientifique, clinique ou en affaires médicales
* Excellentes aptitudes relationnelles et capacité à établir des relations de confiance avec les professionnels de la santé
* Excellentes compétences en communication et capacité à vulgariser des données scientifiques complexes
* Bonne compréhension des essais cliniques et des processus de recherche
* Connaissance du système de santé canadien, incluant les mécanismes d’accès et les intervenants
* Connaissance des principes de base en pharmacoéconomie et en recherche sur les résultats en santé (HEOR)
* Capacité démontrée à apprendre rapidement et à s’adapter à un environnement en évolution
* Autonomie, esprit de collaboration et aisance dans un rôle terrain
Atouts
* Expérience en maladies cardiovasculaires fortement souhaitée
* Une expérience en cardiomyopathie hypertrophique (CMH) constitue un atout

Compensation Overview:
Canada - CA: $137,790 - $166,963
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. The final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience and in accordance with pay equity principles and applicable employment laws.
