Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure is done following established guidelines and are completed with the cause identified.
- →Responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.
- →Recondition and repair equipment and components.
- →Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned.
- →Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
- →Perform the repairs in a safe and effective manner.
- →Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards.
- →Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
- →Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs.
- →Ensure all records are legible and in compliance with established methods.
- →Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
- →Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
- →Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
- →All communications with customers and co-workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.
Requirements
~1 min read- 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
- Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
- Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
- A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
- Clean driving history.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl
- Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
