A well-established, multi-practice law firm based in Manchester, Connecticut is seeking a Paralegal to support its estate planning and estate settlement practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on meaningful matters while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The Paralegal will primarily assist with estate planning document preparation and estate administration/settlement files, while also providing support across additional practice areas as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines in a client-focused legal setting.

Responsibilities

Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments

Assist with estate settlement matters, including probate filings, asset inventories, accountings, and client correspondence
→
Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, and clients regarding estate administration matters
→
Maintain and organize physical and electronic client files
→
Track deadlines and ensure timely filings
→
Provide administrative and case support to attorneys across multiple practice areas as needed

Requirements

Prior paralegal experience preferred
Experience in estate planning and/or estate settlement strongly preferred; candidates with other relevant legal experience will also be considered
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with Connecticut probate procedures is a plus
