The Agile Delivery Manager is responsible for driving predictable, high‑quality delivery across multiple Scrum teams within the Paymode platform. This role works closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Finance, and external vendors to ensure delivery excellence, release readiness, and strong operational discipline.
They oversee multiple teams/pods, provide hands‑on delivery leadership when needed, and co-own release management, metrics, vendor coordination, and cross‑functional alignment.
This position is ideal for a senior delivery professional who combines servant leadership with strong operational rigor and can operate effectively at the team, release, and organizational levels.
This position is based at our Bangalore, India office.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee delivery health across multiple Scrum teams and pods, adjusting involvement based on team maturity.
- Coach Scrum Masters and Delivery Leads, including 1:1 support as needed.
- Serve as a mediator for friction, capacity constraints, and delivery risks.
- Maintain oversight of maintenance-only and production-support teams, ensuring scope discipline.
- Ensure capacity alignment with Product and Engineering leadership.
- Co-own end-to-end release responsibilities including:
- Release planning, kickoff, and facilitation
- Release deck creation, updates, and stakeholder communication
- Release retrospectives and action tracking
- Participation in Release Command Center rotations
- Act as backup host for sprint reviews or release ceremonies.
- Enforce release best practices, communication, and escalation standards.
- Build and maintain release capacity plans for feature teams.
- Perform velocity analysis and identify delivery risks.
- Coordinate staffing, roster changes, and security component rotations.
- Track and analyze release progress using Jira and sprint analytics.
- Maintain historical release documentation and produce actionable insights.
- Support productivity and AI adoption tracking tied to cost and throughput.
- Contribute to release impact scoring and continuous improvement.
- Own or support release-related Confluence spaces, documentation, and future schedules.
- Maintain calendars and schedules considering global/regional constraints.
- Participate in delivery, pod, and product syncs with clear, concise updates.
- Enable cross-pod coordination and consistent delivery standards.
- Support strategic delivery partnerships (e.g., Global Logic) through reviews and scorecards.
- Facilitate recognition, feedback loops, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Ensure timely access provisioning/de-provisioning.
- Act as escalation point for vendor delivery or access issues.
- Support contractor/vendor financial processes including backfill approvals and coordination with Finance/HR.
- Review monthly invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain visibility into role changes, promotions, and rate adjustments.
- Track delivery resources for FP&A, audits, and headcount planning.
- Ensure time-tracking compliance and data integrity for capitalization.
- Partner with Finance on monthly/quarterly capitalization reports and audits.
- Support cross-functional delivery initiatives and platform-level programs.
- Drive recurring syncs and remediation tracking.
- Maintain transparency and accountability across distributed/global teams.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience supporting multiple Scrum teams and large-scale releases.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled delivery frameworks.
- Experience working with distributed teams and external vendors.
- Ability to operate across delivery execution, governance, and financial processes.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Tempo, and release metrics/reporting tools.
- Excellent in Excel and Analytical Tools
- Knowledge on using AI tools like Copilot.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Agile delivery or program management roles.
- Certifications such as CSM, CSP, PMI‑ACP, SAFe, or equivalent (preferred but not required).
