The Teen Development Professional supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs designed to help teens succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This role works closely with youth, families, schools, and community partners to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where teens can develop leadership, life, and workforce readiness skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and implementation of teen programs and activities.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and families.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Utilize trauma-informed and restorative practices when working with youth.
  • Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes.
  • Maintain program documentation and case notes.
  • Support recruitment, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to promote programming. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of education or training in social services, education, youth development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a school, community organization, Boys & Girls Club, or similar setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and restorative approaches.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and other technology platforms.

CPR/Pediatric First Aid, Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History, FBI Clearance, NSOR Certificate, TB Test, Mandated Reporter Training, and other required certifications must be obtained upon hire or within established timelines.
