Shop / Yard Laborer

Brayman Construction is currently searching for a Shop / Yard laborer to add to our team in Saxonburg, PA.

The laborer role is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

• Support the day-to-day functions of the shop, warehouse, and yard to help maintain efficient operations.
• Receive, stage, move, and prepare materials for production, storage, or shipment.
• Load and unload trucks using safe work practices and approved equipment.
• Keep work areas, buildings, and outdoor spaces clean by sweeping, pressure washing, painting, and removing scrap or debris.
• Assist with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment, tools, and facility assets.
• Organize inventory, stock materials, and maintain orderly storage of parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare materials for production by performing tasks such as sanding, abrasive blasting, masking, and assisting with coating or finishing processes.
• Make local deliveries and pick up materials using company vehicles as assigned. Overnight travel may be required on occasion, approximately once each month.
• Complete other general labor, warehouse, or facility support tasks as directed by management.

• Able to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the workday.
• Capable of lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety and follows established safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains attention to detail while completing repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Willing to learn new equipment, processes, and operational procedures.
• Works effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Must have a clean driving record and be at least 21 years of age to operate company commercial vehicles for interstate, non-CDL travel.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in general labor, manufacturing, construction, warehouse, industrial, or maintenance environments is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
