We are looking for an eager candidate looking to experience a fulfilling, rewarding, and challenging opportunity as a Senior Accountant of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. This individual will be a key person involved with financial statement preparation and disclosures for internal and external reporting. This candidate will be responsible for areas that are seen as important to senior leadership and will interact with stakeholders across various departments throughout the organization. This role provides for long-term professional advancement opportunities within the finance department. This candidate will report directly to the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.The ideal candidate will have had exposure to financial reporting in compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide meaningful contributions in the preparation and coordination of the financial statement data utilized in the quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc SEC filings (Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K, Proxy statements, Section 16 Filings)
- →Create and enhance the support workbooks for the preparation and documentation of the consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and related disclosures
- →On a quarterly basis, prepare detailed tie-out and analyses for SEC filings, press release, earnings call materials, and investor presentations to ensure accuracy and consistency
- →Assist with the XBRL tagging and review of SEC filings in Workiva
- →Collaborate with internal and external audit teams on information requests
- →Create and maintain calendars and planning documents to communicate and manage deadline adherence throughout the reporting process amongst the internal reporting team and cross-collaborative efforts with various departments (e.g., Legal, Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue Operations, Investor Relations, People Operations)
- →Perform research and special ad-hoc projects as-needed
- →Stay up to date on the latest accounting standards and trends that may impact financial reporting. Apply proper accounting treatment required for disclosure purposes, including benchmarking against peers
- Bachelor’s Degree plus CPA certification required
- 2+ years in public accounting preferred (Public Company experience is a plus) or combo in-house SEC reporting experience
- Understand financial statements under US GAAP
- Experience with Workiva and/or Netsuite is a plus
- Highly organized and results-oriented and works well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet tight timelines and manage multiple priorities
- Highly self-motivated, detailed oriented, flexible team player that is able to operate independently
- Solid verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $88,000 and $131,000/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $99,000 and $147,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, this role qualifies for a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that you will own a piece of our company.
