Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide compassionate care to patients and clients
- →Assist veterinarians during examinations
- →Prepare examination rooms for appointments
- →Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws and urinalysis
- →Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
- →Assist with client education on topics such as nutrition, grooming, and basic healthcare
- →Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- →Fill prescribed medications
- →Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and equipment
- →Stock clinic exam rooms
- →Build initial rapport and long-term relationships with both pets and clients, successfully communicate plans and estimates to owners
- →Communicate within the team, proactively advocating for patient needs
- →Safe, low stress, and compassionate handling and restraint
- →Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, cleaning kennels, etc.)
- →Walk, feed, and pick up after the animals
