About the Role
~1 min readThe Project Facilitator – Federal Market plays a critical role in supporting federally funded energy and facility improvement projects throughout their full lifecycle-from development through construction and into the performance period.
This position is responsible for coordinating project documentation, ensuring quality assurance compliance, supporting energy guarantee reporting, and maintaining alignment with federal requirements. The Project Facilitator works closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and federal stakeholders to ensure projects remain organized, compliant, and on track.
This role is assigned to federally funded projects located in Montgomery, Alabama.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support federal projects through development, implementation, and performance phases
- →Coordinate internal and external project meetings; prepare agendas, materials, and detailed meeting minutes
- →Maintain and manage project documentation, reporting logs, RFI logs, and tracking databases
- →Perform quality assurance reviews of project paperwork prior to submission
- →Generate and organize documentation for ECM reporting, M&V documentation, and O&M files
- →Assist with energy guarantee reporting and ensure alignment with scope, pricing, and energy revisions
- →Maintain compliance with federal policies, Buy American Act (BAA) requirements, and other governing standards
- →Assist in subcontractor prequalification, bid package preparation, and price reviews
- →Coordinate with internal departments including Safety, HR, and Administration to ensure federal reporting requirements are met
- →Support construction administration activities such as purchase orders, invoicing, subcontractor agreements, and Procore documentation
- →Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to project leadership
- →Build strong working relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred
- 3–5 years of administrative, operations, or project coordination experience
- Prior experience supporting federally funded or government projects preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and documentation management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Professionalism, attention to detail, and strong follow-through
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
Requirements

- Ability to comply with and successfully complete federal background check processes
- REAL ID driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel
- Ability to adhere to base policies and federal security protocols
- Regularly: talking, hearing, standing, walking, reaching, and handling
- Occasionally: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Lifting: ability to lift/move up to 10lbs frequently and up to 25lbs occasionally
- Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

- Office environment: Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets). Noise levels are usually quiet to moderate.
- Job Sites: Frequent exposure to loud environments, airborne particles, mechanical equipment, and varying weather conditions. The employee may work at heights, near moving mechanical parts, or in confined spaces. Appropriate PPE is required.
- Travel: Must be able to travel regionally and occasionally out of state; overnight stay may be required based on project assignments.
