We have many opportunities with a variety of types of projects with both foreign and domestic governments and commercial customers across many types of aircraft.
About the Role
~1 min readBridger Aerospace is currently seeking an experienced full-time Mid to Senior Level Avionics and Electrical Engineering Technician for FMS in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is a mid-level position in which the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and enhancing aircraft modifications for commercial and military organizations. This position requires someone interested and well-versed in avionics and electrical systems for various aircraft.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Will work with a team of Electrical and Design Engineers and PMs to troubleshoot, design, and implement electrical systems supporting various military and commercial customers.
- →Provide offsite & onsite assistance and installation of electrical systems
- →Mentor junior level electrical engineers within the company
- →Occasionally travel to hangars, bases, customer sites to facilitate successful system integration of mechanical and electrical and provide assistance as needed to Project Managers at onsite locations
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in avionics and electrical wiring systems
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Ability to effectively manage time over several programs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work proficiently with remotely located employees as well as in a team environment
- Flexibility to travel CONUS & OCONUS (no more than 20% of the time)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Must be U.S. citizen
- Must currently possess or be able to receive Department of Defense Secret clearance
- Active DoD security clearance, minimum of Secret level
- Interest in aviation airframe modifications is recommended
- IPC certification is preferred
- A&P certification or relevant certifications are a plus
- DoD or Military background is a plus
